Folsom M5A2 Carbine

The carbine from Resistance: Fall of Man. Used a side-view pic as reference and this is as accurate as I could make it.l If you spot any mistakes, feel free to crit.

First in a series of Resistance weapons I am modelling for the heck of it. XD

The Folsom M5A2 carbine (sometimes known as the .303 Sturmgewehr) has become the symbol for Man's enduring resistance against the Chimera.

It was adopted by the United European Defence after the Great War and was issued wholesale to their collective armies. Later on, the US Armed Forces also adopted this weapon, and many surplus caches fell into the hands of the Maquis.

It was superior to any other rivals in its category, both in reliabilty, firepower, and accuracy.

The M5A2 is chambered for .303 caliber rounds, and demonstrates incredible stopping power at close to medium ranges, though headshots at ranges exceeding 300 meters have been recorded. Recoil, however, is substantial and bursts of three to five rounds are recommended for relative accuracy.

Magazine capacity is 50 rounds with one in the chamber. Spent cartridges are ejected from the top and comes with an ambidextrous charging handle, making it easily usable by left-handed shooters. It has two flip-up aperture sights which are set for 50 meters and 100 meters respectively.

It is used in conjunction with an underslung 40mm grenade launcher in order to maximise the individual soldier's battlefield versatility, allowing him to engage both light and armored enemies.

Recently, it has proven effective in stopping Chimera Hybrids and even the bigger Greyjacks, while the grenade launcher is prominently used against Titans and Stalkers.
